Panic attacks causes differ widely from person to person. What triggers my anxiety and panic attacks may be completely different than what sets yours in motion. Panic attacks can also vary in intensity from uncomfortable annoyance, but manageable, to full blown terrifying and frightening.

Those of us that have anxiety and panic attacks usually just live with it because most people can not define what causes panic attacks, why they are happening to us, and quite frankly, we are afraid that no one will understand what we are going through.

Day to day, and year to year peaks and valleys occur. Some periods of time we may just feel anxious, while at other times, a crescendo can build to a deafening roar. Only when we get those full blown panic attack episodes on a regular basis do we tend to seek help for our private problem. Panic attacks are neither random nor without cause. Something is triggering them, so we look for the reason why this is happening to us.

Stress, diet, lifestyle, anxiety levels, and phobias can all contribute to panic attacks causes. Overcoming panic attacks and managing anxiety levels becomes a challenge because most of us, me included, think we are the only one living with this nightmare. In reality, we are not, there are many others. In our chaotic mind, there is a battle being waged with symptoms that are very real as we perceive them.

Sweating, external shaking, rapid heart beats, chest pain, smothering or shortness of breath, dizziness, fear of losing control, dry mouth, chills, internal shaking, disturbed thoughts, and many other combinations that can manifest themselves as symptoms, all occur when you get during a panic attack.

What is important to note here is that you are not alone. Panic attacks causes your symptoms to possibly be completely different than what I experience. They may not be among the most common symptoms, like a rapid heart beat, that most professionals list, but make no mistake about it, they all fall under the anxiety and panic attacks umbrella. Treatments vary widely as well and we will discuss that in the next post.
